i PID Support Forum Members,
Here is our latest weekly new threads update; these are emailed to members every Sunday and list threads posted on the forum in the past week. Sorry for the lack of updates in the past few weeks, I've recently moved to a new area and everything has been a bit chaotic; this update therefore covers the past few weeks.
There are two new threads in the "General Primary Immunodeficiency Discussion" area (http://primaryimmuno.proboards.com/board/4/general-primary-immunodeficiency-discussion):
-"Change of product" (3 responses so far - primaryimmuno.proboards.com/thread/847/change-product)
A member is shortly switching over to a new subcutaneous immunoglobulin product, and has a few questions for other members.
-"Anyone here infuse at Gartnavel General Hospital?" (0 responses so far - primaryimmuno.proboards.com/thread/849/infuse-gartnavel-general-hospital)
A member who has recently moved to Glasgow and been referred to Gartnavel General Hospital for their immunology care is interested in how the infusion service there works.
There is one new thread in the "Newly Diagnosed Lounge Area" area (http://primaryimmuno.proboards.com/board/7/newly-diagnosed-lounge):
-"IVIG SIDE EFFECTS" (2 responses so far - primaryimmuno.proboards.com/thread/846/ivig-side-effects)
A member who has recently started on IVIG is experiencing leg muscle aches and is wondering whether this is related to the IVIG.
And also from a few weeks as it still doesn't have any responses, we would really appreciate it if somebody could respond:
-"infections /subcuvia batches" (0 responses so far - primaryimmuno.proboards.com/thread/833/infections-subcuvia-batches)
A member who is on subcutaneous immunoglobulin is asking if anyone else has found they get more infections with certain batches of Subcuvia compared to others. Additionally they are asking if any other men with PID suffer from low testosterone, and whether they also find testosterone supplementation injections to help with fatigue related symptoms.
Just a reminder also to members to occasionally check any threads that you create; people may still post responses even if you think you've already got your answer. As these people have taken the time and effort to respond, then it's only polite to read them, or even better post an acknowledgement.
Just to remind members that if you don't want to receive these weekly updates (we won't be offended!), then post a message saying so in the thread at primaryimmuno.proboards.com/thread/802/weekly-thread-list-emails-comments and we'll remove you from getting the updates (but this will NOT stop you from receiving other email messages from the forum). For more details about our weekly update service, please see primaryimmuno.proboards.com/thread/804/weekly-thread-emails-forum-concept
Remember that the forum can always be found at primaryimmuno.proboards.com and if you've forgotten your password then you can recover it at login.proboards.com/forgot/3391770 by providing your email address etc. Also just to alert you that your personal forum username is provided in the footer of this email.
We hope to see you on the forum again soon!
Thanks,
Sam, John and Gloria (The forum staff)
