Migraines for days after SQIg -- advice?

Hi all, I am so happy to have found this board!

After four infusions (SQ), I still have migraines 4-5 out of the next seven days.  I hydrate well and take the recommended Tylenol.

Currently I take Gammunex-C. 

Has anyone had better luck with other brands?

Hi,

If you're getting migraines like you describe then it might be best to talk with your immunologist, you could either be having a mild reaction to the IgG preparation which a product change may help with or the migraines might be because of another health problem. Either way talk with them as it's sensible to get it checked out.

Sam is right - you need to talk to your immunologist - I was on Subcuvia and had awful headaches - the GP diagnosed migraines and gave me triptans as they were the only thing that got rid of them. I also had terrible fatigue (more than I had before SCIG), I was changed to Gammanorm and the headaches disappeared altogether along with 50% of the fatigue. there is no need to put up with side effects like that.

I talked to my immunologist today and she wants me to try it one more week, as the migraines have gone down from seven days a week to 3-5.

After reading all your comments, waiting doesn't seem very helpful. I do take triptans but they make me dopey and fatigued,

I will definitely insist on a change of brands.

I agree with you a chage of product might be what you need.

I am prone to getting migraine if i don't get enough sleep.

I take triptans as well.

I was n Gammaguard IVGI and got migraine after each treatment for 4-6 days, as soon as I switched to SQIG Hizentra they went away completely.
