I assume and sure I have read that achy legs and sore joints after IgG treatment, is thought to be a of side effect of IgG.
When I first went on IgG replacement I had very achy muscles and joints, they also feel like the muscles were tired and week, at some point this improved, but returned a few months ago.
I have been on IgG for just over a year and a 1/2.
When this achenes returned at first I thought it was because I had returned to my walking routine, I had not been walking for a few months. I usually walk 30 -60 mins per day, I have pretty much done this all my life except at times that I have been too sick and tired to do it, sometimes this is for many months at a time, since if I get sick I don't recover very well.
I have returned to walking daily for over 2 months now and my legs are still achy. I find it is worse after my treatment, (I use Hizentra once a week) I am very tired post treatment so I go to bed, I find I can't sleep because I ache so much. I started to track this pain a few weeks ago, and noticed a pattern, the pain is worse night of treatment, slowly gets better over the week, only to return with next treatment.
I am still walking everyday, although it is a real struggle some days.
I have tried taking OTC pain meds for this, they do not help. Last night I finally took a RX pain medication after tossing and turning in bed for a couple of hours, for the first time in months I slept for more than 2 hrs in a row, I actually slept 5 hours.
I have tired pre medicating with just OTC pain meds, with OTC pain meds, Benadry, and lots of water, I have also tired different infusion rates. None of theses things seemed to have made any difference to achy leg muscles and joints.
Does anyone have any other suggestions of something else I could try, I don't want to hav to go down the road of taking RX pain medications.
Thanks
