Medical Advisory panel

Really pleased to see UKPIPS has a Medical Advisory Panel in place do we have any more information about these learned folk.

Hi Steve,
Yes we are still working on this. Sadly a lot of the Immunologists have so far declined to be a part of this as they are waiting to see which group emerges as a replacement for the PiA. However, we are of the opinion that it is most important to have representation from all of the sectors of medicine which we typically need in order to keep us as fit as [possible. Dr Penketh has a background of working with people who have cystic fibrosis. Although this is not a primary immune deficiency, they develop bronchiectasis as a lot of us do. The experience Dr Penketh has of treating CF people is transferable to treating us. We are very lucky that she has agreed to work with us on the medical advisory panel. Watch this space for expansions as they happen. I would very much like to have another Immunologist working with us and a paediatric immunologist. I am waiting on replies about this.
