Primary Immunodeficiency UK (PID UK)

PID UK is a recently established organisation which is there to support those with PID in the UK and aims to:

"ensure that every individual and family affected by a primary immunodeficiency has the knowledge needed:

-to manage their condition effectively;

-to ensure that their health needs are understood and addressed by those involved in policy and delivery of health care."

Their website has a wealth of information on most PID conditions as well as further information to help support and improve the lives of those with PID. They also are prepared to act as advocates for patients and are forming strategic links to other organisations and groups. If you have any concerns regarding PID that you feel cannot be answered by the forum (advocacy, employment rights etc) then we recommend trying contacting PID UK as they are well placed to help with your enquiry

I (admin/Samuel) am on the Patient Representative Panel of PID UK, and am also happy to pass on any questions, concerns etc (please note though that the forum is remaining a separate entity from PID UK).

Just thought that forum members might find it useful to know that the 1st PID UK Newsletter is now available on their website (you'll already have received it a few weeks ago if you were signed up as a member with them). Its packed with useful information, and I'm sure that a lot of time and effort has gone into producing it.
