My First Sub Cut Today

Hi all,
Today I had my first sub-cutaneous infusion of Hizentra, instead of the IVIg I've been having for over 20 years!!
It went well and I think I could be happy with this form of infusion if I have to have it!
I am trying out sub-cut as a precautionary measure to see if it decreases the bleeds I have been having due to my portal hypertension.
We shall see, but so far so good!!

So glad it went okay for you and hope it improves things for you. I'm now used to mine and wouldn't want to go back to ivig unless I had to.

Yes they are, and I have agreed to have the kit delivered here so I can do it myself at home.
At the mo though I think I will do it at the clinic, I like being there with my cronies!!
How are you Malcolm? Do you find this very hot weather to your liking, or are you like me skulking in the shade??? We were saying tonight that we should go and buy a kiddie's paddling pool and just sit in that!!! I will NOT be posting photos!!!

Yes i am loving this weather, i have been going for a nice early bike ride along the river most days before the sun really gets up, now its keep in the shade time getting pat to fan me (i wish)

Got an interview tomorrow its the first one in 25 years so help lol,

It has its advantages home infusions but i do miss the people i got to know and often wonder how they are getting on.

Malcolm, talk about making a guy feel jealous - an early morning bike ride by the river, sounds like bliss!
Sue insists on fanning me and bringing me ice-cold drinks, and I have to keep fighting her off! (how I wish!!)
The loneliness of the home infuser, someone should write that book, now where's my pen?

First interview in 23 years and it seemed to go ok but just have to wait now, I suppose it depends on how many people applied etc
