So this is why I've been feeling so sick!

It's been finally explained why I haven't been able to shake off my apalling cough and why I feel so lack-lustre - seems like the infection I picked up during a 4 night stay in hospital last month is influenza!!
It has of course affected my sinuses, and for the first time ever I have swollen lymph-nodes on my neck, so I have to keep on taking Augmentin to help all that, but the team will decide how to deal with "para-influenza type 3", and set me on the road to feeling myself again!

No wonder you've been feeling so awful. Now you know the reason why and can receive the correct treatment you will hopefully make a rapid recovery.

Hope you feel much better soon. At least the sun is now shining making us all feel a bit more chirpy.
Incidently it was para-influenza in Christopher's lungs that led to his diagnosis of x-scid. I think you may be assured that you don't have that!

Hi all,
Thanks for the good wishes, they're working already ( alongside the medication!), and I'm feeling much better.
I called my clinic yesterday and the doc told me that the 'flu had gone according to the tests she did on Tuesday, and that my bacterial level was normal, but they are still waiting on the urine results, so just hearing all that made me feel better!!

Ack, the downside of hospitals is infections and mistakes.

The upside is now that you have the right treatment, it's full steam ahead.

Here is it in the mid 70's but cloudy and rainy until Sunday.

As a retired person, the weekend is just two days to stay out of stores!
