Treatment update (slow going)

Hi everyone,
Just thought that I would update you on what's happening treatment wise.
To cut a very long story short, I am currently on IVIG and wanting to go onto sub cut because of the IVIG not working as well as it should be. I have had some major bouts of illness lately and have also been diagnosed with chronic sinusitis. Also my veins are now pretty much shot to pieces, the nurses have told me that there going to start doing the IVIG in my arm because my veins in my hands are useless now
I went to see my immunologist on Tuesday and she has said that the sub cut has sort of been approved but she is waiting for the PCT (primary care trust, soon to be changing to something different) to approve it formally so that we can begin to sort out the training and the delivery of the medical equipment.
She has asked for me and my husband to write a letter to them to try and get them to move the process along and get it approved for definite (Unfortunately because it is Staffordshire, they are currently having problems, so that is why she thinks that it has been delayed). So please keep your fingers crossed that it is sooner rather than later.
In other news, she has recommended that I am on autumn and winter antibiotics as well to prevent me from getting ill.
