Can any of you with children relate to this?
You're ugly and skinny and ooh that cry!
You pong so I wash you but don't ask me why
As soon as I feed you you're sick on your clothes
And both poo and sick are the smells I so loathe.
I tiptoe away with a smile and a grin
You are safe and warm and snugly tucked in
Then suddenly you yell, you must be in pain
So I pick you up and you burp again
When you fall asleep I lay you back down
Then you wake again with an angry frown.
Don't lay there making faces at me
That's not the way you're supposed to be
The babies on TV are so clean and cute
They smile and gurgle, not like you, you brute.
All that time I waited for you
You're supposed to be my wish come true
Just look at all the problems I've got
I can't clean the home whilst you yell in your cot
You're not even fussy about the time
I would some sleep in that bed of mine.
When it's two in the morning you're never sorry
I warm your feed and try to hurry
I rush back quickly, no reason to creep
You look so peaceful, you've fallen asleep
When I wake you up you moan at me
Then don't finish your feed until half past three
To collapse into bed I can hardly wait
The next moment it seems I'm running late
Thoughts of chores are pounding my brain
And there you are crying again
For how long I wonder will you do this to me?
Well I've not had you long, is it two weeks or three?
Since you've been here life is all go
Still you're worth every minute as I do love you so
You're ugly and skinny and ooh that cry!
You pong so I wash you but don't ask me why
As soon as I feed you you're sick on your clothes
And both poo and sick are the smells I so loathe.
