Let it snow - How much snow do you have?

Hi

Simple question: how much snow have you had today/ in the last few days?

This morning in Nottingham there was no snow (still bloody freezing though!) and at about 15:00 it suddenly started coming down lightly... and has not stopped since! There was about 5cm or so on the ground when I went shopping (2 mile walk there and back to Asda is certainly more interesting when snows coming down like a blizzard!) but now (about 21:00) theres a lot more....

Good thing I got lots of food in as I wouldn't like to have to walk that again if it gets really deep! (Note to self, find and kill which b*****d it was who decided that students could not exchange their bus/tram passes to work with the new tram company that have taken over). There is a Tesco Metro nearby in the Victoria Centre but I'm not paying their inflated prices!

Hi Sam,
sorry, only just seen your thread. we had about 2cm's snow in Evesham. Pretty while it lasted, was mostly gone by Sunday morning. Have you sorted out the tram company? Need a PI hit squad? lol

hi ime in norfolk we had abut 10 cms and i stayed in until its all goneive got a good excuse as i have shingles, but its still hanging about in places and supposed to freeze tonite

here in north london we got dumped on big time on saturday night!
we went out and it was just sleet and the roads were clear. three hours later we came home in a blizzard, the car was covered with 6 inches of beautiful powder snow, the wipers couldn't work and the road had disappeared into the pavements and verges. never mind, we have a 4wd which proved its worth for the first time since we bought it 7 years ago, and having gotten home safely stayed indoors till this morning!
luckily for me sue went shopping on saturday morning and we had everything we needed, including coal and logs for a lovely blazing fire!

Diane, sorry to hear you've got shingles. I've never had it but family members have I know it's really painful. Poor you. Get well soon.

it's just after ten tonight and it's coming down like crazy, here in north london!
really bad news as we have promised sue's mum that we will drive across town tomorrow and get her shopping - she has suspected winter vomiting virus (HELP!)
so . a miraculous thaw tonight - PLEASE!

Here in Evesham we got excited last night, it looked so pretty. Gone this morning! Keep safe from the sickness bug. Was with my Grandson yesterday morning. Two hours after I left him he was sick........................

Down here in Somerset we had a smidgen this morning, nothing to get hot and bothered about - and I hope it stays that way!

that thaw didn't happen, and this morning our street was deep and crisp and even territory.
so we didn't venture out on the roads, sue's mum called and said she was feeling better, and she had little enough snow to let her get her own shopping! bit of a sigh of relief from me!
seeing her tomorrow, gritting teams permitting!
