immunoglobulin levels at 11

Hi everyone had my treatment today and they took bloods beforehand and my white cell count came back at 11 which on the face of it looks good but i am full of sinusitis and chest infection which i think is giving this high reading, but the problem is i feel i need to go back on fortnightly infusion of the higher dose i was on before as i have been struggling with infection since they reduced the amount and put me on three weekly infusions is my consultant likely to agree to this with such a high white cell count. HI Diane

If I remember right, a high white cell count could mean you are fighting an infection which sounds like you are. if your having repeated infections I think you have a good case for going back on forth nightly infusions.
We all differ how ivig affects us I know someone half my weight who has double my dose and we are both fine.

Could you ring your consultant before your next appointment and tell him how its affecting you ?

Hi malcolm i think thats what ime going to do the nurse on monday asked the heamotology consultant to come and see me but he doesnt want to tread on anyone toes at papworth by treating me so suggested i speak to them, my first job of the day i think. Diane
