A question for anyone with medical knowlege

Hi this is totally off topic but last weekend a very good friend of mine fell off her horse and is still in a serious condition in hospital. Apparently she has shredding to the brain. I have never heard of this and do not know how serious it is, whether it is reversible/ fixable or if it is going to affect her brain function for the rest of her life. Do any of you know anything about this? I am so worried about her. Last I heard she is being transferred to a specialist neuro hospital

Oh how worrying for you all, poor thing it doesn't sound good does it? I've never heard of this either, good that she's going to a neuro hospital though, at least she'll be in the best place for her condition. Hope she does well.

I don't know much about shredding to the brain but I do know about horses and falling off them (a lot over the years). Horsey people are incredibly resilient. I don't understand her condition but I know that she will be tough and will fight it with all she's got. Good luck and try not to worry too much - if she's being transferred to a speciailist hospital then im sure she's in good hands! x
