Hi Liz.
I'm not sure exactly where we are to put any poems that we're sharing with both UKPIPS and the FORUM. They aren't actually new threads but are new poems.
Lonely Robin
A blanket of snow lies upon the ground
Leaving not a speck of green
Whilst here I perch upon your fence
Though by most remain unseen
And yet I know without a doubt
That you will up and come
For day will break and presently
My song I will have sung
You are by yours also unseen
Trapped by this cold white land
To you my sounds lack clarity
Still my plight you understand
Clutched in your cold blue hands are crumbs
Though to you it is the least
And bravely trudging through the snow
You bring to me a feast

I hope no-one is offended by - My daughter's reply.
Yeah, all very nice in an ideal world
Now, for the real world, what really happened
While the bird is on the perch waiting for the woman
A cat attempts to get the bird
But slips on the ice, smashes into the fence, dashes away in pain,
Tripping the old woman
She falls over, breaks her hip and lays in the snow until
The postman arrives the next morning
He finds her barely alive and carries her into the house
And decides to turn on the gas fire to warm her up
There's a sudden gas explosion and they are both tragically killed,
Him leaving a wife and five children (some people are so selfish)
Her leaving no-one because she was totally unloved.
(Life's a bitch and then you die)
