Hi PID Support Forum Members,
Here is our first weekly new threads update; these will be emailed to members every Sunday and list threads posted on the forum in the past week. Hopefully this will improve thread awareness and member participation.
Without further ado, here are the threads posted in the past week:
In the "General Primary Immunodeficiency Discussion" area (http://primaryimmuno.proboards.com/board/4/general-primary-immunodeficiency-discussion):
-"IVIG escalating CFS symptoms"
A member is asking about whether anybody has any experience of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome symptoms worsening following starting IVIG.
-"Progression of CVID symptoms"
A member with CVID who has done quite well until recently now has worsening symptoms and is now struggling to do daily activities, so they wants some advice from others.
-"As if having a PID is not enough..."
A member with CVID who has the flu is a bit fed up and just wants to offload. Can you be of support?
-"Anyone on here infuse at Addenbrookes?"
A forum member who infuses at Addenbrookes Hospital is trying to find others who infuse there, as the clinic setup doesn't exactly encourage or make easy conversation.
In the "Newly Diagnosed Lounge" area (http://primaryimmuno.proboards.com/board/7/newly-diagnosed-lounge):
-"SubQ infusions - bloating/discomfort normal?"
The father of a member has recently started on subcutaneous infusions of the new Hyqvia IgG preparation, and she is wondering whether other members (whether on Hyqvia or other SCIG products) experience bloating or discomfort normally after infusing.
That's all the new threads for the past week! If you think that you can be of help or support to the members who posted any of these threads, then why not login to the forum and post what you want to say!
Just to remind members that if you don't want to receive these weekly updates (we won't be offended!), then post a message saying so in the thread at primaryimmuno.proboards.com/thread/802/weekly-thread-list-emails-comments and we'll remove you from getting the updates (but this will NOT stop you from receiving other email messages from the forum).
Remember that the forum can always be found at www.primaryimmuno.proboards.com and if you've forgotten your username or password then you can recover them at login.proboards.com/forgot/3391770 by providing your email address etc.
We hope to see you on the forum again soon!
Thanks,
Sam, John and Gloria (The forum staff)
P.S, if when you login you get a private message from the staff about pop up ads coming up on the forum, please don't be concerned as we've now tracked down and solved the problem. Thanks!
